Everyone is welcome to come along to our Sunday morning service at 9.30am. We love to see new people. Tea and Coffee is served afterwards.

Sunday Catch-up

Missed church on Sunday? Can't get out to church at the moment? You can hear the sermon from Sunday and two songs by watching our weekly catch-up video which comes out on Mondays.

 

Ready Steady Grow

Enjoy craft, stories, songs and toys at our term-time group for children aged 0-4 years old and their parents or carers. We meet in the hall next to the church on Wednesdays from 9.00-11.00am. No fees. Just turn up.

Wednesday Night Church

Want more? Can't make Sunday mornings? On Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm we meet at St James Church to have a meal together, to learn from the Bible, to sing and to pray. All sorts of people come and you can just turn up. It's a great way to make friends or go deeper in your understanding of God.

 

What's On During The Week?

Ready Steady Grow

Enjoy craft, stories and toys at our term-time group for children aged 0-4 and their parents or carers. It meets in the hall next to the church on Wednesdays from 9.30-11.00am. Just turn up.

Simply Christianity

We run a regular course for anyone who wants to get to grips with the basics of what Christianity is really all about. Contact us if you'd like to join the next one.

Midday Prayer

A half-hour service at 12 noon every Wednesday. Every third Wednesday, the service takes place at St Anne's, otherwise it is at St James Church.

20s and 30s

We meet for social events and at Wednesday Night Church. Every so often we get together for our own Bible Studies. There is also a 20s and 30s blog here.

Women's Bible Study

This group meets at 10am on Tuesdays. If you want to make friends and get to know God better, this might be the group for you. Contact us if you'd like to come along.

Bermondsey Brew

Our Community Cafe at St James Church is open from 2-4.30pm on Mondays. Make friends and enjoy a free cuppa and cake. 30 mins of children's activities start at 3.45pm

Our church office at St James Church, Thurland Roadis open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 1pm for enquiries about weddings, christenings, bookings and church activities. Just pop in or contact us by email, phone 020 3643 2327, or by using our contact page.

Find Us  

The church is in the middle of Thorburn Square. You can enter the square from Simms Rd, Fort Rd, Welford Rd or Longley St and you can park in any of those streets. Bus 1 runs along Southwark Park Rd and bus 381 along St James's Rd. The church is a short walk away.
